לאחרונה מצאתי עצמי מהרהרת בהתנהלות שלי. המושלמת יש לציין, כן?! (סתם…) אני אמא למופת, אין שני לי. גם מגדלת את הבנים עם נכות קשה, גם את הבנות כשאחת מהן עם צליאק, בת זוג, פעילה, מתנדבת, מארחת, מחייכת תמיד, קשובה, מכילה, קוראת, כותבת, מתעניינת ומסתקרנת, לומדת, מתפתחת, מנהלת בית למופת, הבית שלי תמיד נקי, מדהים, מסודר (נו בערך).ובעיני הסביבה אני ממש wonder ima, ממש "אשת חיל מי ימצא", השבחים יוצאים מפיהם של אנשים קרובים ורחובים: "אין כמוך", "את חזקה", "את מדהימה", "אין אף אחת אחרת שיכולה להתמודד כמוך", "את משהו מיוחד", ועוד סופרלטיבים כאלה, שאם היו שווים כסף כבר הייתי עשירה.
לאחרונה שמתי לב שכדי לקיים את כל הכתוב לעיל, ולהיות כל כך מושלמת, אני משלמת מחיר כבר מאד.
אני אכן אישה חזקה, פעילה, אנרגטית בדרך כלל, מחייכת, מתנדבת, אמא לארבעה. ואני אכן מתמודדת בצורה טובה ויפה ואפשר אולי ללמוד ממני דבר או שניים. אבל כשאני במקום הזה, אני בעצם משתפת פעולה עם השבחים שהסביבה מרעיפה עליי, ולא באמת מחוברת לאמת הפנימית, לכאב, לקושי שקיים עמוק מתחת לפני השטח, כי הרי אני מושלמת, ואני מתמודדת, ואני מקבלת ציונים כל כך גבוהים בהתמודדות, שאין למעשה מקום לזעוק – "הי רגע, אני נראית לכם מושלמת, אבל יש ימים שבהם המושלמות רחוקה ממני שנות אור".
היום אני בוחרת לעצור לרגע ולספר גם את הצד הפחות זוהר של התפקוד היומיומי שלי. ואני בוחרת להודות שישנם ימים שבהם אני עצובה, מדוכאת, מוטרדת מאד, חסרת אנרגיה, חסרת רצון. יש ימים בהם אני לא נחמדה לא לילדיי, ולא לבן הזוג. ישנם ימים שאני רק רוצה להכנס מתחת לשמיכה ולבכות על מר גורלי. ויש גם ימים שבהם אני מלאת שמחה ואנרגיה והחיים זורמים בצורה נהדרת ואפילו אז אני לא כל כך מושלמת.
ולא – אני לא רוצה שתרחמו עליי, כי אני ממש לא מסכנה. אני פשוט בן אדם – לא גיבורה, ולא אמיצה, ולא מגיע לי כל הכבוד או ציונים על ההתמודדות שלי, ואני ממש לא מושלמת. אני בסך הכל אישה שמתמודדת עם מה שהחיים זימנו עבורה, לפעמים בצורה טובה, ולפעמים בצורה טובה פחות.
